If you have more than one HireBright account but only one email address, you can use your email provider's aliasing feature to create unique variations of your email address. Each alias delivers to the same inbox, but counts as a different address in our system.
To create an alias, add a + sign followed by any word or number before the @ symbol. For example, if your email is john@example.com, you could use:
All of these addresses will deliver to your john@example.com inbox. You do not need to set anything up with your email provider; this works automatically.
The following email providers support this feature:
If you are unsure whether your email provider supports aliasing, try sending a test email to yourself using the + format above. If it arrives in your inbox, it is supported.
On the old HireBright system, your password was stored securely using a one-way encryption process. This means that even we, as the administrators of the system, were never able to see or retrieve your actual password. It was protected in a way that made it impossible to reverse.
Because of this, when we moved to the new system, we could not simply transfer your old password across. We have no way of knowing what it was, which is exactly how secure password storage is supposed to work.
As a result, you will need to choose a new password during the account recovery process. You are welcome to use the same password you used before, as long as it meets our minimum requirements of at least 8 characters.
